Cleco partners with the Food Bank of Central Louisiana for ‘Done in a Day'

Feb 26, 2025

Yesterday, Cleco employees volunteered at the Food Bank of Central Louisiana in Alexandria as part of the company’s Done in a Day program.

Cleco’s Done in a Day program furthers the company’s partnerships with charitable organizations across its service territory, as well as provides an opportunity for its employees to get involved in the community. Through the program, Cleco works with charitable organizations who request assistance with a project that can be completed within one day or a few hours.

Volunteers assisted the Food Bank by bagging fresh fruit for distribution and packing meals for the BackPack Program, which provides meals for children.

“Cleco’s Done in a Day program connects employees with organizations and helps us make our communities stronger,” said Colie Plaster, communications representative at Cleco and Done in a Day program coordinator.

“We are so grateful to have the team of volunteers from Cleco at the Food Bank,” said Linda Hutson, Director of Development and Community Relations at the Food Bank of Central Louisiana, “Volunteers play a critical role in our operations. Those helping to sort and package food have a direct impact on families facing hunger.”
