For Cleco residential customers looking to upgrade their home’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, Power Wise™, Cleco’s energy efficiency program, can help cover the costs of purchasing and installing high-efficiency air conditioning units and heat pumps.
“High-efficiency HVAC systems use less energy, which can help customers save on their utility bills, and they can dramatically increase the comfort level of a home,” said Jaci Sewell, manager of energy efficiency.
Residential customers can receive up to $3,500 in rebates when they replace their air conditioning unit with a new energy-efficient unit or upgrade to a heat pump.
Cleco-approved HVAC contractors simplify the process for homeowners by offering an instant rebate at the time of purchase and handling all the necessary paperwork, including proof of purchase and other documentation. The rebate amount depends on the system’s efficiency ratings and size. All systems must be certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute.
Funding for rebates and other Cleco Power Wise™ energy efficiency programs is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
