Cleco beautifies Family Promise of St. Tammany facility for ‘Done in a Day’
As part of Cleco’s Done in a Day program, its employees spent the day at Family Promise of St. Tammany in Mandeville beautifying the exterior of the building.
Through the Done in a Day program Cleco employees volunteer with Louisiana non-profit organizations who request assistance with a project that can be completed in one day or a few hours.
Cleco employees volunteered at Family Promise of St. Tammany, a non-profit that provides homeless children and their families with safe shelter, meals, and support services and advocacy. Volunteers refreshed the landscaping, cleaned and pressure washed the exterior of the building, painted interior rooms and organized and took inventory in storage sheds.
“Cleco’s partnerships with charitable organizations across Louisiana provides the opportunity for our employees to get involved in the communities beyond serving them reliable power,” said Madeline Ducote, communications representative at Cleco and Done in a Day program coordinator. “We started our Done in a Day program to help organizations focus on delivering lifechanging resources while our employees can help take care of some of the day-to-day work.”
“Nonprofit organizations rely heavily on the generosity of our community partners,” said Jessica Hamilton, outreach coordinator at the Family Promise of St Tammany. “Family Promise of St. Tammany Parish is deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Cleco's 'Done-in-a-Day' program.”
