Cleco has restored power to 95 percent of customers impacted by Hurricane Zeta
Pineville, La., Oct. 30, 2020 (8 p.m.) – As of 8 p.m. today, Cleco has restored power to 68,988 of the nearly 73,000 customers who lost power due to Hurricane Zeta.
“The numbers continue to improve. Provided we don’t encounter any unexpected damage or inclement weather, we expect to restore power to all customers in Abita Springs, Covington, Lacombe, Madisonville and Mandeville who can accept power by end of day tomorrow,” said Mike Polk, manager of distribution operations. “The damage in Slidell was more severe, but we’ve made significant progress in this area also. Our crews will continue making repairs until all our customers have power.”
Customers with structural damage to their property or the equipment on their side of the meter will have to make repairs before service can be restored. Once repairs are made, customers should contact Cleco’s customer call center at 1-800-622-6537 or visit a local customer service office. Cleco’s customer service offices in Covington, Mandeville and Slidell will be open Monday, Nov. 2.
The company provided ETRs for areas in Slidell earlier today. Those ETRs are available in the Cleco Storm Center and on Cleco's Facebook page @ClecoPower. Cleco will continue to post ETRs as they become available.
