Storm leaves 28,000 customers without power
Pineville, La. (10 a.m.) – The remnants of Tropical Storm Olga moved through St. Tammany Parish this morning damaging parts of Cleco’s system and leaving 28,000 customers without power.
“Cleco crews are assessing damage, and initial reports indicate damage to substations, broken poles and downed wire,” said James Lass, general manager of distribution operations and emergency management. ”In addition to our crews in St. Tammany, we are mobilizing Cleco crews from around the state, along with contractor crews, to assist with clearing debris, making repairs to our system and restoring power.”
