PINEVILLE, La. – Today, Cleco donated frozen game and fish to the Food Bank of Central Louisiana in support of Hunters for the Hungry “Clean Out Your Freezer Day.” 

Hunters for the Hungry is a non-profit organization working to encourage hunters and fishermen to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors through volunteer donations of wild game, fish and financial generosity in order to combat hunger.

“Cleco is a proud supporter of the Food Bank of Central Louisiana,” said Jill Kelone, Cleco General Manager of Compliance and Food Bank of Central Louisiana Board Member.  “Clean Out Your Freezer Day is another way we can support our community.”

“We are so thankful for all who support this wonderful campaign by our Louisiana hunters and fishermen to help others,” said Jayne Wright-Velez, executive director of the Food Bank of Central Louisiana.  “Every donation of food, time or funds is critical to reaching those in need especially as we approach the holiday season.”
