Cleco restores power to 90 percent of customers following storms, tornado
Pineville, La. (8 a.m.) – Following yesterday’s storms and confirmed tornado in central Louisiana, Cleco has restored power to 90 percent of the 19,000 customers who experienced power outages.
“According to the National Weather Service, a tornado touched down in the Ball area,” said James Lass, general manager of distribution operations and emergency management. “Our crews have been working tirelessly to clear debris, repair broken poles, replace downed power lines and restore power to our customers.”
As of 8 a.m., Cleco had approximately 1,800 customers without power due to the storms.
