PINEVILLE, La. – Last night, Cleco awarded the Port of Iberia a total of $113,686 in incentives for three Port businesses, Chart Industries, Crosby Energy Services and Custom Compression Systems, participating in the Cleco large commercial Power Wise™ program.

Collectively, Chart Industries, Crosby Energy Services and Custom Compression Systems were able to conserve 1,890,679 kWh, which is enough energy to power 233 homes for one year based on average energy usage. These savings were made possible by completing an LED lighting retrofit, a process in which antiquated lighting is replaced with an LED lighting equivalent that will produce brighter, longer lasting lights. This retrofit reduces energy consumption by reducing the wattage the fixture uses, as well as improves lighting and maintenance costs.

Cleco’s Power Wise™ program also offers incentives to residential customers. By providing programs that weatherize homes, install ceiling insulation and provide rebates for smart thermostats, as well as pool pumps and HVAC units, Cleco is providing solutions for homeowners to reduce their energy use.
