Pineville, La. – This week, Cleco is celebrating Earth Day by visiting customer service offices to provide customers with information on its energy efficiency programs.  

Energy experts will be on hand to answer questions about Cleco’s incentive programs and discuss energy efficient upgrades. Cleco also will be giving away complimentary energy efficient LED and CFL light bulbs, along with reusable tote bags and traveler cups.   

The Earth Day events will take place at the following Cleco customer service offices from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or while supplies last:  

“Cleco’s energy efficiency programs offer customers assistance and financial incentives for installing energy efficiency measures that reduce energy consumption,” said Robbyn Cooper, general manager, Cleco solutions and marketing.  “Taking small steps like adopting more efficient light bulbs, installing insulation and identifying efficiencies in air and heating units can add up to reduce energy use.”  

Launched in 2014, Cleco’s energy efficiency programs have awarded its customers $3,273,558 in incentives for completed energy efficiency projects which also can lead to lower bills for customers. These programs have reduced energy consumption by over 32,200,456 kilowatt-hours which is the equivalent of eliminating the carbon dioxide emissions from 2,546,383 gallons of gasoline, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.
