Although Isaac has weakened to a tropical storm, it is continuing its slow projected path across Cleco’s service territory.  According to forecasts, winds in St. Tammany and St. Mary parishes won’t drop below 30 mph until after nightfall and winds now are at tropical force in Iberia Parish.  Storm bands are beginning to impact south central and central Louisiana as well. 

Cleco crews and contractors will begin restoring power to impacted areas as soon as weather permits and working conditions are safe.

At this time, Cleco’s transmission system is withstanding the storm’s winds, and the company reports no transmission outages.
