If your location is new construction, many factors can affect the length of time it will take to connect electric service. Your Cleco contact will meet with you to determine what steps must be taken prior to connecting electric service. Call 1-800-622-6537 or visit a Cleco customer service office to begin this process. You will receive a call within one working day from a person who will become your Cleco contact for the length of your project. Normal Construction time is 10 - 15 working days. Issues such as weather, obtaining permits and special equipment requirements may extend this timeframe. In some cases, rights of way must be obtained to build service lines to a location. This can take several weeks or months. Deposits are required for all new services. The amount of the deposit will be determined by Cleco at the time of application for service.
